The Fisher 64 Series regulators are designed to reduce high tank pressures to intermediate levels for further regulation, typically by a second-stage or final-stage regulator. These units are ideal for a wide variety of medium-sized commercial and industrial applications, including crop dryers, tobacco curing systems, and high-pressure burner systems.
Applications & Functionality
• Intermediate Regulation: Commonly used to step down tank pressure to an intermediate pressure, making them suitable as a first-stage regulator when paired with downstream regulation.
• High-Pressure Systems: The Type 64SR can be used directly as a final-stage regulator on high-pressure burner systems or as a first-stage regulator when set at 10 psig / 0.69 bar or lower.
• Versatility: Suitable for use with vapor or liquid propane up to 150°F / 66°C.

Design Features
• Adjustable Outlet Pressure: The 64 Series features a wide range of outlet pressure settings for flexibility across various applications.
• Side Outlet Gauge Port: A 1/4-inch FNPT port is provided on the side of the regulator for pressure gauge installation. This is normally plugged when not in use.
• Outdoor-Ready Design: A cover or auxiliary vent assembly is recommended to protect the vent port in outdoor installations.
• Temperature Rating: Both the 64 and 64SR models are rated from -20°F to 150°F / -29°C to 66°C.
Important Installation Notes
• Type 64 does not contain an internal relief valve and must be installed with additional overpressure protection (per NFPA 58 standards).
• These regulators should not be used in fixed piping systems serving 14 in. w.c. / 35 mbar appliance systems.
• For vent safety, if there is any risk of vented gas ignition at the installation site, a vent line should be routed to a safe discharge location.
