An Accu-Pressure™ Gas Blanketing Regulator is designed to maintain a stable internal environment in tanks or vessels by using a high-pressure inert gas, such as nitrogen. This helps to protect any remaining liquid when the tank is being emptied or when sudden cooling causes vapor contraction. In both cases, the regulator supplies blanketing gas to maintain a slightly positive pressure, effectively preventing the ingress of air, moisture, and contaminants, and protecting the vessel walls from potential collapse.
The Fisher Type Y693 is a direct-operated regulator engineered for precise pressure control in low-pressure gas blanketing systems. Downstream pressure is monitored through an external sensing line connected to the regulator’s lower casing. Type Y693 is offered in sizes NPS 1-1/2 and 2 (DN 40 and 50).
