The Fisher™ Type 630R is a general-purpose relief valve available in NPS 1 and 2 (DN 25 and 50) body sizes. It is commonly installed in compressor stations, refineries, and other industrial facilities where reliable backpressure regulation is required. The valve supports relief pressure settings of up to 250 psig (17.2 bar).
Features
Reliable Shutoff
• A high-integrity O-ring seat ensures tight shutoff performance, minimizing leakage.
Simplified Maintenance
• The inlet adaptor functions as a union nut, allowing fast and convenient access to internal trim components for inspection or replacement.
Versatile Performance Options
The Type 630R is offered in both high- and low-pressure configurations.
• Low-pressure models feature a larger diaphragm area, delivering enhanced accuracy at lower setpoints.
• High-pressure models can withstand inlet pressures up to 550 psig (37.9 bar) and control pressures up to 250 psig (17.2 bar).
Convertible Design
• The Type 630R can be easily converted into a Type 630 regulator in the field by rotating the body 180°. In the converted configuration, the flow arrow on the spring case will point downstream. Note: conversion requires a new valve carrier, disk, and orifice. See Figure 2 for guidance on spring case orientation.
Sour Gas Compatibility
• Optional material selections are available for sour gas applications. These constructions meet NACE MR0175 and MR0103 standards for corrosion resistance in hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) environments.
Hydrogen Ready
• The Type 630 Series has been rigorously tested for material compatibility, leakage, permeation, and resistance to hydrogen embrittlement. As a result, specific configurations of the 630R are approved for use in hydrogen gas applications.
