The Fisher Type R222 is a UL®-listed second-stage regulator designed for use in two-stage LP-Gas systems. Its primary function is to reduce the outlet pressure from a first-stage regulator—typically 10 psig (0.69 bar)—to a consistent downstream pressure of 11 inches w.c. / 27 mbar.
With a capacity of up to 650,000 BTU/hr, the compact design of the R222 makes it ideal for small domestic loads and tight installation spaces. In its standard configuration, a screened drip-lip vent is positioned over the inlet.

• Equipped with a high-capacity relief valve and large vent, the R222 provides protection that exceeds UL standards. It can limit downstream pressure to 2 psig (0.14 bar), even during dual failure scenarios when used with Fisher Type R122H or R622H first-stage regulators.
Corrosion-Resistant Construction
• Internal and external coating processes on all castings enhance corrosion resistance. Additional protection comes from stainless steel relief valve components and a corrosion-resistant seat.
Positive Draining Spring Case
• When installed with the spring case vent pointed downward, the design allows moisture to drain from the spring chamber—helping to prevent corrosion and ice buildup.
